Letzte Änderung am 29-12-2010 durch Steppenhahn What about an Ultrarunning/discovering Tour in Asia ?... On Full Moonday of March 20, 2008 will be organized the "2nd THAR DESERT 100-K" in Rajasthan, India. Running another world as well as running another kind of race: the only one in the world where your personal aid-sation will stay by you during the entire race, transported by a three wheels rickshaw (one rickshaw attached to each runner) ! Organisation was imagined by Michel Marguinot and his wife Sandrine, both long-time indophile (Michel is a french professional illustrator in the running world - Transe Gaule illustrator too - and Sandrine is a ceramic artist - she created the trophies for Transe Gaule). Taking place from a desert camp to the Citadel of Jaisalmer, the race is locally managed by Indians and the aim of organizers is to give a help to the local economy while sharing time and experience together between Europeans and Indian population. Organisation will propose a 12-days full trip from Paris to Paris (March 13-25) including the 100-K race ending at Jaisalmer (Rajasthan) plus visiting other spots like Dehli, Agra, Taj Mahal, Jaipur, Pushkar and Jodhpur. Managing your own trip to the start line and participating only in the race is also possible. Maurice Mondon* (Transe Gaule 2001 winner) won the first edition of the race in April 2007 while Patrick CandÈ* (TG 2006) and Raymond Brand'honneur* (TG 2006 & 2007) also participated in the race. | ||||||
