Letzte Änderung am 23-12-2010 durch Steppenhahn 80 Miles – 2 Days along the Grand Union CanalTring2Town is a foot race covering 80 miles along the Grand Union Canal. On Saturday the course will run from London Brentford, to Tring in Hertfordshire. Sunday will see the reverse from Tring to London Brentford. Each competitor must carry all his or her supplies and compulsory equipment for the duration of the event. Started as a no-frills fun event in 2005, it has quickly become a regular fixture on our Ambition Events calendar. The event has an optional format; competitors have a choice of which day and which direction to run, and for those looking for a real challenge, there is the option to run both days, both ways. It is an ideal event to help those preparing for Marathon des Sables and RAW. Tring2Town is part of Ambition Events’ “UK Ultra Running Series”. "UK Ultra Running" is a unique series of Ultra Marathons which have been gaining popularity over the last few years. Raced by individuals who seek to achieve higher goals, take on unique challenges and find new mountains to climb. This series of UK based ultra challenges has started to attract a large number of athletes from all around Europe, interested in competing through some of the most beautiful countryside which Britain has to offer. Beauty aside, competitors can be assured of a challenge which is different, inimitable, requiring new found depths of self confidence and resolute persistence as they battle against whatever the elements decide to throw at them. | ||||||
