Letzte Änderung am 27-05-2006 durch Steppenhahn Approximately one year after the succefull finish of the World Run, Finland hosts a "World Run Marathon" the 5. of August 2006.The course will be set around a beautifull Finland forrest and lake scenery as part of a World Run EXPO & Running Festival. The chief organisor, mr. Aimo Kostiainen, invites all longdistance runners to participate and informs: LOCATION: Stockfors, Pyhtää FINLAND. DATE: Saturday 5th. August 2006. Starting Time 12.00hrs. DISTANCES: Marathon (42.195km) -and ½ Marathon (21,0975km). Distances officially measured. COURSE: Road surface 40km asphalt -and 2km sand with a few hills, location entirely in the beautiful country side in the middle of a huge arctic forest. In Finland called "The DREAM OF NATURE". CLASSES: MEN, -M40, -M50, -M55, -M60, -M65, -M70 and WOMEN, -W40, -W50 ENTRY FEE: Marathon 40E and ½ Marathon 35E to be paid to NORDEA BANK Account 173630-94. Please inform your full name, -postal address, -date of birth, -distance, -age group and possible athletic club. ENTRY DEADLINE: 30 June 2006 Entry Fee including: Prestigious Medal, -Diploma with J.O.signature, -T-Shirt, - Trophy for a 3 best runners of the each age group -and many other surprises..... Amongst others presentation of the 40 000km Run which passes through this area. STOCKFORS MARATHON VILLAGE: Beautiful location on the river side of the Kymi-river. Offers excellent facilities for all runners including possible accommodation at The Owner´s House, -restaurant & bar, -two saunas with a possibility of fresh-water swimming in the river e.t.c. * The race will be will be advertised in Finland´s running magazines & newspapers as well as internationally via the organisation. Jesper Olsen World Run Marathon Be a part of the unique marathon event in Finland. Meet Jesper Olsen, the hero of all runners, and run the marathon with him.
